sbm, Reg & pei have been added to the attendee list, that is now up to potentially 34+ people, pending confirmations* closer to the event.

(*I will post up the list on this thread two weeks before the event to try and tidy that aspect up, along with locations departing-from, for potential vehicle sharing).

phillipivan has indicated he will be around after the weekend.
I have a couple of others on the list that are coming from afar and are likely to stay longer, plus I also hope to add a day or two to the weekend.
Maybe people can confirm duration at the same time as attendance?

Heh, heh, heh.

Lake Catani Campsite info.

Note; Campers are requested to be self sufficient with drinking water, and to bring their own firewood.
Sub-note; I have never heard of any issues with water at the campsite in the past, and many people boil the tap water available...

Catani Campsite Map.

Note the location of sites 2 – 19, that are the “first come first served” sites. All sites are limited to a max number of 6 people within each.
I intend going up early-ish on Friday and 'occupying' as much of the area sites 3-15 as I can on our behalf.

(~> If that is not possible due prior occupation by others, then I propose sites 55-59 as an alternative.)

I've just figured out this weekend is on at the same time as the Radical Reels screening, which is a fundraiser for CliffCare, and to which I've already committed.

Apologies M9, I'm going to have to give up my spot on Banana Blasé. Those interested in snuggling can take a rain check...

Send your radical half bro ...

... to the Reels screening instead?

(*fixed that for you).

If you can't make it, I am wondering who will be most disappointed; simey, stugang or shortman?

OK, here is the ‘list’, of people who have indicated a desire to attend, and not had a change of circumstance given as feedback to me.

Please confirm if attending, if you are able to vehicle-share, along with a likely departure location (State/City/suburb), & time, and also if staying longer than the w/end.

IdratherbeclimbingM9 Confirmed. (Going up on Fri 22nd on a motorbike with a lot of gear, so can’t offer a lift. Staying till Tue 26th).
phillipivan - Confirmed
SL212 - assumed confirmed!
Ben_E - Confirmed

About half the above have pre-confirmed a while back, but their circumstances may have changed since then.

Some of the above people have Buffalo Nth Wall ambitions that they will be undertaking on the weekend so there will be overlap, though they are largely independent.

If your name is not there and you are coming, then please add it to the list.

If you are one of the experienced aiders and have spare gear to lend (particularly etts and daisies), please indicate it if you have not already done so with me previously.

Thanks.
Idra~>M9

Apart from basic aiding techniques and aiding tips and tricks; ... other topics covered by experienced persons for attendees who want to know more, are; hands on portaledge use - setting up; hauling; solo aid techniques; gri gri modification for soloing use; the list goes on...

... & despite the many rumours to the contrary, I have information on good authority that no, simey will not be making an appearance as the mystery guest instructor...

I can't make it either, too much going on at the moment. A bit said to delay my aid introduction.

Anyone considering coming up to Buffalo who needs a bed? I will probably be taking my camper up. It sleeps four adults comfortably on two queen length beds - yep its the original quarter acre canvas dream. It also has a reasonable three burner stove. I'll be bringing a gas fridge as well.

I will be there from maybe Thursday night/certainly Friday before noon till Tuesday morning (give or take). Snorers and smokers need not apply - pebble wrestlers need two trad references.

Happy to give a lift either way, I'm in the outer east - can pick up from Lilydale or Belgrave train station as well.

Not anticipated at this stage thanks; but if you are there Thurs evening, then you can help by staking our 'claim' to the sites 3, 4, 12, 13, 14 (in particular), if possible...

Your van sounds AWESOME!!
Heh, heh, heh.

Count me in as confirmed. I'll be leaving from Melbourne, probably on Friday, maybe Thursday. I'll have space in the car, if anyone wants a lift. Don't have a set time I need to return to Melbourne, so will probably stay on longer if there are other climbers about
:)
