Climbing partner Adelaide

Hi, spring is here and I'm looking for someone to climb with in Adelaide! Someone happy to play around on lower grades - I haven't climbed for a few years since moving from Victoria. Keen to get back into it again - not necessarily wanting to lead at this stage - had only just started when my climbing came to a standstill. Have my own gear. So basically someone who just wants to get out and enjoy the day. Once I get my climbing feet back again, happy to push it :-). Cheers Liane

Li, I'd be happy to climb a grade 3 if that meant I had a climbing partner! I like to play on grade16-17, however I would like someone who can set up ropes.

What grades do you climb?

Um dude, Addie's the bloke (well I assume he is), and from what I gather he can already "set up ropes". You're supposed to be flirting with and teaching Li ...

PS Long term the continued, ongoing wussification of our youth is probably one the Western world's biggest security problems ...

pecheur I'm of the female pedigree.

I trad and top rope, no free. If I was more experienced I might get to the point where I'd free climb... but first I have to get on rock, get the experience, hence I'm on here looking for a partner in crime.

Miguel75 I'd be keen as but just happen to be taking a break abroad when you'll be in Adelaide. dammit. If you're ever down this way and heading out for a climb hit me up. I'll PM you my number :)

I love it when the randoms have their say. Flirting? I think you must be getting confused with another site ;-)

Addie, I would climb up to around 14/15. Can/have set up ropes, have a full rack. Will be a little rusty but it won't take long to find my groove again. Really keen to get back into it with a regular partner. Will PM you my details. I'm about to move house so probably won't be able to get out for a few weeks.

Miguel, I'm around that weekend but can't get away from work on the Friday.

Assuming by 'free' you are refering to free-solo?
If not, then what is your definition of trad?

Yes free-solo is what I was referring to. Someone above (I can't be bothered re-reading all the hijacking) commented on the wusification of youth these days ;) Don't mind being called a wuss for top roping. I value my spinal cord :)

Strangely, not a straightforward clarification. Pedigree is about ancestry and is not a synonym for gender. Most of us are going to have some females in our ancestry.
However, I'd guess that most of us read it as being equivalent to "I am female", which it isn't.
I'd say "I hate to be a pedant" but you know that isn't true.
