Amazing, I don't know how you manage to dredge those things out, M9. Maybe I need to enlist you to bludgeon my helpdesk system into blurting out some useful stats.

Hey Danny, how are you? I haven't been out since we last climbed together - tragic! Tried to get to Araps a couple of times but cancelled at the last minute due to crap weather. Let's try and organise a day! Send me a text. Cheers Li

You guys all missed out today, Morialta was very adventurous;)

I woke up at 0630 for an early morning session; unfortunately it was kinda cold and a touch wet so I rolled back over and enjoyed the warm doona until around 0900. After running a few wedding related errands I decided to brave the elements and explore... As luck would have it I found the crag dry and sheltered from the insane winds howling through the gorge and decided to get my climb on. I wandered around looking at the veratable smorgasbord of lines available and settled on a really fun looking face/arÍte in the "12-18 climbs" signed area (if you're standing on the small metal bridge looking across the gorge it's off to the far right, and has a small, black, Trango cam stuck halfway up). From my awesome description can anyone tell me the name of the climb?

I'd guess the climb went around 15ish and was next to a rad looking bolted face climb that looked pretty stout. All was going well with beautiful ambience and fun moves, until I reached the top 1/3 of the climb and was assaulted by the wind. It was so strong it actually blew me off the wall and around the arÍte which was quite exciting;) I recovered, finished the climb and rapped back down for round two. As I touched down the heavens opened and big fat rain drops fell freely around me. I thought of running away from the rain but committed I was so climbed another easy route to the anchors where I made up and then ran away.

All up it was a great day and I'm keen for more Morialta action.....†

The climb you were blown off is Muesli (16). The 'stout' climb to the right is Geronimo's Cadillac (26). Good thing you weren't there when it's really windy : )
