"A bit of rain won't stop an ascent", I think I heard pi say about his rained on 1 dayer of Ozydirect last Aidfest...

Hmm, travelling from Melb.
Am not sure of euce's travel arrangements, but there is scope there for ride-share...

A second thought (prompted by ride-sharing) regarding avoiding the $9.50 per extra car per night camping fee... For any on the wall, parking down in the public carpark adjacent the Chalet, or the boulder adjacent the cricket oval/pumpshed negates that Lake Catani Campsite charge! ;-)
As an aside if any do this, I'd encourage them to fill out the 'Intentions Book', located up in the main carpark near lookouts / adjacent Chalet, so that the Rangers don't freak out unnecessarily when they find over-night parked vehicles.
Note: filling out the Intentions Book also implies that you will update it as returned safely, after the event.

Completely off topic but kind of important to me on this trip nevertheless:
pi, are you still good for the scotch this trip, or are you just teasing me? I only ask as my current supply is now about as depleted as I read on this site that simey's stipend is ... (heh, heh, heh); and living out of town*, ie Albury/Wodonga, requires a trip to it to re-supply at reasonable rates on the more esoteric items (read Laphroaig or such like!), that aren't available generally in smaller rural locations...

*This is something I avoid as much as possible. Call me anti-social, ... or an aid climber if you like... Nevertheless, I will need to resupply some time!
;-)

How many pitches will 1/2 a bottle of Ur choice of scotch get U up?
How many will it get PI up?
Ed is a martini man. He don't get many pitches done.

The answer depends on if it is available enroute or only after I top out.
Once completing setting up a bivvy on a wall and ensuring my safety systems are intact, I have been known to get out a hip-flask...

He can speak for himself.

No comment from me about that.

I got you covered M9. Won't have to share any with my partner in grime, so there'll be plenty for paying old debts.

Despite the best laid plans, work has decided I won't be able to attend again this year. Please let me know if this leaves any outstanding costs regarding booked camping etc.
I will endeavour to start preparing for Aidfest 2016.

Sorry to hear that work has stymied your attendance davex2, and I hope it works out well for you next time.
The date for it is likely to again be similar to pretty much all the previous Aidfests, ie whatever weekend is closest to 20 Nov in 2016 (ie 3rd w/end of the month), if this makes it easier for you to organise for the next one.

There is no cost incurred for not attending as I don't like nailing down participants like that.
Hopefully my prepayed campsite expense on behalf of others for it will be covered as cost-share by any who utilise the campsite, as has normally been the case (for others) in the past.

Weather forecast for the weekend is good at the moment. High teens / low 20 temps and fine.

Based on estimated attendees, whats one persons split of the camping costs ? Presuming I will probably leave a tent there throughout even if I am on the north wall for most of it.

That's a big assumption. Maybe I'll want to cook up a flambé....

For you? I can do you a special deal of $20 a night, but I will also let you sub-let for that price...
;-)

Nah, only kidding. The new ParksVic campsite fee system is pretty inflexible, but for Buffalo it is basically $50 per site per night, and included within that the site is allowed to have up to 6 people but only one car (or 3 motorcycles!), with additional vehicles/bikes attracting an additional fee for each of $9.50 per night.
Last time I did a head-count (a page back on this thread), there were about a half dozen of us... so, if only 6 turn up it works out at (for you, hehx3) $20 a night!
This special rate can be mitigated further with trade in suitable beverages, meals*, firewood, or belays, parking elsewhere, etc.
;-)

(* Warning, if you try cooking up a flambé, with the good stuff that pi drinks, I think you'd rightly find yourself as being the next item on the meal list, - assumes you are already a fully paid up camper. Refer also to the unspeakable things that Crack'n'ups and Talons etc are capable of, as mentioned earlier on this thread...)

Post edit:
But wait, there's more...
Hey MB, if after our respective people have spoken with each other about the Catani deal with a satisfactory outcome; I can get mine to negotiate a special MB-only rate for a TimP-sherpa price, to take your kit down to the base of Ozy for you.
~> You know you want to don't you. Think of the energy that you will conserve!

2nd post edit:
If you are feeling particularly lazy and have plenty of cash to spend, I can even organise a special energy conserving rate for you to get sherpa'd down there in similar style to this...

~> Weighing the last person who took up this offer as part of the negotiations at the time...

(PS, Don't tell M75 that this is how pi thinks that M75 will get pi to the base of Lord Gumtree.)

Oy TimP, have you been taking your teaspoons of cement lately?... I might have a job for you.

There won't be any spare left because I need all I can get for myself these days in order to keep playing the climbing (& other) games at the levels I prefer.
;-)

Off to pack for it now so will see whoever turns up there this afternoon.
Weather forecast is scattered showers / thunder storms for this evening but fine and cool for remainder of w/end.
