At Workanda Creek, the routes are so short that I and others have bouldered most of them and Boardlord
has probably bouldered all of them (and filled in any gaps). The low traverse is a reasonable workout. I
can't believe that leaves a lot of room for new problems.
Amphitheatre Rock is best left for connoiseurs of Adelaide Hills climbing, shall we say. I reckon there's a
possible traverse above the lip of the roof, but only for lovers of wet lichen, fragile rock and 5m falls into
There are actually some really good problems at Workanda, though as suggested it is fairly limited. The right hand side in particular has numerous problems and eliminates, including possibly the biggest dyno in the Adelaide Hills (approx 7 feet and V7 - likely unrepeated). The 'routes' are better described as highball problems (albeit 8m ones), with most of the starts being the crux. Exceptions are the 23, 24 and the 26 - all of which are pretty committing. Not much has been documented, it's best just to go and work things out for yourself. Good for a change of scene.
