Has anyone been to Dreamtime Wall recently? If so, is the first gate open or still locked? Thanks in advance...

The latest Grampians National Park update (19th August) advises that
Henham Track is now closed over the entire length due to severe erosion.

So is it still possible to get to Dreamtime Wall? Do you walk in from Sierra Road and how much longer would that take?

I reckon a MTB would be the best bet for reliable access to this area. The gates down there seem to be endlessly closed, even though the road is in great condition.

Might have to take a walk in there one weekend to see how bad this severe erosion is.

I had a look on google earth at the management track that Joe Goeding previously mentioned driving that comes off Sierra Road from the west. It measures about 3.5km and seems pretty flat. If this only adds an easy half hour walk it might be reasonable. Has anyone else walked in this way?

is Dreamtime wall worth all the extra walking? It's some of the worst rock in the Grampians

I was just going to go for a walk with my better half to rationalise icecream in Halls Gap...

Oh Wendy, you're just goading Goding aren't you?

I goaded Goding with a massive block that missed him by less than a metre on one trip there ... Strangely enough, it was the rather large foothold that everybody would have been on to clip the chains of the route and ruined my "bigger people than I" theory by coming off on me. Fortunately, it waited until I had actually clipped before giving way.

The rock at Dreamtime in my limited experience is very good. It's just the connection between the rocks that is lacking.
