Dude, dogging retro-ringbolted sport routes is also pretty cheap..........look at the parade of muppets who dangle off Betty Blue every weekend.

Yes.......you said that via talking. Is that irony, or just penis-head syndrome? I get the two confused.

Perhaps a reference to the fact that, unlike you or Macciza, I have actually been on the route.

Anyway, whatever. I am sure it wont be long before you get round to calling me a pussy or a *fag* (a word that you have already used earlier in this thread), so I'll see you later. Macciza has made some homophobic comments too. (I am surprised, given recent history of this sort of thing on Chockstone, that the mods allow this.)

Oh come on Damien, stop spraying. I have seen you dangling off routes at Nowra and the Bluies loads of times. Get over yourself, mate!

Yes, that's what I'm hanging shit on you about. You're trying to use the fact that you've been (unsuccessfully) dogging a totally safe, retrobolted version of a ex-bold route as some sort of badge of honour. Macca has toproped the thing, that's effectively the same as what you've done (except his toproping didn't require wrecking the route for others).

For the life of me, I find it hard to follow how this tangent has any bearing on the thread topic?
Is this the ODH post you mean?

Macquarie Dictionary 1988.
faggot: 1. bundle of sticks, twigs, or small branches, etc tied together, used for fuel, etc.
2. bundle of pieces of iron or steel to be welded. 3. a bundle or bunch of anything. 4. bouquet garni.

~> Not that thread drift isn't rife on Chockstone! ;-) ... & from what I have seen, I think the mods have been pretty reasonable on this thread and the site generally; especially given that the rules include heated confrontational debate, ... perhaps more so with this thread/topic being obviously close to the marrow for many of the posters involved in it!

Your 'talk is cheap' as you have ably demonstrated . . .
Read the top post on this page! I have been on the route! Just not in it's degraded state!

The walk is deep though -
Gigantor - FFA, The Citadel FFA, Fingal 2nd FA, Shai Hulud 2nd FA,
Cyclops - Free Attempts, Gorgon FA, Giant FA, Titan (mixed), Collossus (mixed)
Oh and a bunch of old Ewbank mixed/aid routes freed ground up
And yeah a few of WB's magnificent efforts, old style . .
Etc etc etc . . .

As to the 'homophobic comments' - What crap!
Nothing I have said here I would not say to a very good friend of mine who is as a 'Gay' as 1940's bachelor but prefers men, has AIDS ( not the climbing sort) for as long as I have known him ( several years), is well known and respected in the Gay community, and with whom I have sucked big joints; he is my yardstick for homophobic comments . . .
You should here what some of the Gays call each other, FFS . . .

That's true Chris, I do sometimes enjoy dogging sandstone sport routes as part of my balanced climbing diet. Now that I think of it, I'm not sure that I've ever seen you doing anything other than dangling off sport routes at Nowra or the Blueys :p

I don't think that's quite fair - He has also retro-ringed parts of established trad climbs . . .

Gosh, what a man! Can I use your comments when I tell my students about narcissistic personality disorder?

Of course - but I want to see the students lambast you for such an obviously wrong prognosis . . .
And when they question your interpretation of the DSM definition, I'm guessing you went with ICD.
And then clearly demonstrate you exhibiting the same behaviour . . .

And then I get to use you to explain Pusilanimous Climbing Disorder ( based on Millon's and Reich's theories). . .

But - and here's the catch, 'You' have to do something that is any way 'significant' in terms of Australian climbing first . . . .

And here I was thinking you'd be threatening me with physical violence again because I 'outed' you . . .

Sometimes you don't even have to call somebody a w....r. They do the job all by themselves.

Come on guys. Take a chill pill. This is probably the worst case of a pissing match that Chockstone has ever seen. Put the keyboard down and go for a walk outside and come back tomorrow. If you can't post without resorting to personal attacks then modding and topic locking will follow.

Please guys - the childish name calling has gone far enough.

I realise this is a particularly heated topic, but please argue the merits of the routes in question and the impact of the retro bolting without the personal insults...

Thanks for finally stepping in .
I was trying to work out how to contact a moderator about this behaviour . . .
