Come to Tassie for a month or more if you can. Try to spend at least five days climbing on Mt Wellington. There is a great mix of trad and sport, with fantastic views over the city and Dentrecasteaux Channel.

Unless you know a sailor heading that way and love a bumpy ride, flying would be the best option. We hired a car easily enough from Lady Baron (the town), but you can also hire a car in downtown Whitemark. The island would be nice to ride around though.
