Forget about crab shuffling your way round the Pharos. If there's 'one true line', its Kingdom Come. Climb that instead...............pretty easy to work out where to go!
edit: bugger! Neil had the same smart-arse reaction, but 5 seconds quicker

Bullcrap - that second pitch is fantastic, probably why the route gets ***. Beautiful, balancy moves on perfect rock, with an easy mantle thrown in for good measure. Grade 18, but not strenuous at all. That bit at the end, when you're traversing amongst the bum shaped bits of rock.... it's emotional.
I know what you mean though. Second Coming. Now that is a route! Scary beginning, tricky mantle, strenuous traversing, good exposure. So many great moves. I haven't done the second pitch.

Do I smell another bolt....I must have been asleep......yawn.....I think I can hear the grass growing....
If I can reach up and it clip it, how about I reach up and chop it.
Another one of our stella trad lines molested with pox.

I'm pretty sick of all your online posturing. Why don't you just man up and chop some of these bolts? Actions speak way louder than words.

He can't. He is too much a c@ckhead and we all know how much Gerry hates c()ckheads.

I am sure Ingvar thought it was sufficiently away from JD so it would be polite to ask him if he would consider moving it. It's really not that hard to do (ask, that is).

Thanks for the comment Kieran, but it doesn't really matter what Ingvar thought, that fact is there is a "bolt on last pitch of Judgement Day??"
This is the same person who put a new line of bolts right across the beautiful and bold Tjuringa Wall - I don't think politeness enters the conversation.

Actually it's not on the last pitch of Judgement Day. It's just happens to be close enough so that people focussed on bolts choose to go via the bolt rather than the original line.

Well that's sad. It rarely hurts.
** post-edit ** Note to self - you promised not to respond to robertsonja's irrational rants after he refused to apologise for misquoting you. Don't do it again!!!

Agreed. It really is not on Judgement Day. If you read the rest of the thread, Jason, you will even see a picture demonstrating that you have to be standing on the hand holds of judgement day and probably even then taller than I am to clip it. So you can't just "reach up and clip it". Various people mention having done the route recently without even noticing the bolt.
