The very, very minor venue of Egg Rock has had a few changes since I last wrote it up for the VCC guide. A forest fire has cleared out much of the undergrowth. The quaint old firetower may also have burnt down too, as it has been replaced with a massive steel one. It is in very a slightly different place to the one shown on the map in the Eastern Vic guide. This is a real shame, as the old one was able to be climbed for sensational views over the Gembrook Ranges. The new one looks like a space ship and is impenetrable!

A few people have obviously been to climb there...despite its limitations it is close for people in the outer eastern areas of Melbourne. It's pretty dirty though, that's the trouble. Still, if anyone can climb the long slab left of Ressurection 17, that would be worth doing.

I chose not to bolt any climbs there. But if someone wants too, I wouldn't mind personally...
