I remember getting Clif Bars for $1US per bar in the US...here they are $3AU.
Does anyone know where to get cheap ones?

In supermarkets now.
Coles near me has them for $2
They used to wholesale through Shimano Australia for more than that.
Looks like that deal ended.

Have you thought about making your own? Really easy. Tastes great and better ingredients.

Nope...I've never seen anything like Clif Bars. Are you just making regular muesli and/or nut bars? Or actually making Clif Bar like bars?

As close as I can get. My fussy 8 year old likes them more than the clif bars.
We started with this recipe http://www.food.com/recipe/homemade-cliff-bars-no-bake-328473?ftab=reviews
You can swap out half the rice bubbles for protein crispies to increase protein content to be closer to a clif bar if you want. We also added chocolate chips .
