No faith required in following a chocky link.

Can you fix my memory?
Heh, heh, heh.

Oh, and while you are at it, can you fix dn's appreciation of Ewbank Grading too?
HehX some more.

Does this mean that all your posts on the topic to date have been a troll?

Does this mean you are also knocking back the opportunity to do an adventure route?
~> If so, will you lead me up an established runout route instead and let us know what grade it is?

It's the weekend for Jesus sake! Shouldn't you be out climbing bouldering those wounderful, featured, not at all slab like, granite tors around Canberra?

Most of us use the excuse that we're bored at work to post drivel on chockstone. What's your excuse?

Hang on a minute, so you guys are all saying that grades are determined to some extent by the gear? Thats BS. Its so subjective how a leader feels on lead, i might crap myself when u stand pround a feel fine. Did Ewbank not say somethig to the effect of 'no combination of letters and numbers can ever give a true representation of the climb, if its grade 20 climbing with no gear, whay not just say that, thats what words are for.'

Please correct me if im wrong but ive never let the availability of gear or exposure affect the grade. Ive just mentioned that its run-out or thin gear or whatever.

How bout we just stop with the dik measuring and get back on topic, slagging off oursouthern inbred brothers!!

How you 'feel' has no bearing on the fact that gear placement opportunities may be many/few, good/poor, whether you choose to place/or not (assuming opportunities exist), etc.

Yes, he did say that additional information regarding the climb should be given in the description.

Those aspects of grading are perhaps less significant than technical difficulty, but still important, ie they may tweak your overall assessment of the grade you may give a first ascent, but they would not be the sole ingredient of grading it.

I think you just did that...

sorry Dave. Im downgrading your Troll to T7+, im using the "ewbank Troll system" which means due to length (didnt last that long) and protection (from harm, because Nick lives in Melbourne and you live in Canberra) its definately a T7+. The best way to confirm the grade is to get some other people to read the thread and make there decision though : )

Generally trolls are witty.... Like Jesus (Hex). He has(had) some class, kept people guessing, got Gerry to call him a c--ksucker.

Unfortunately you're merely just a d-bag without a clue who's trying to save face because you've been caught out.... Unfortunately for you a d-bag always shows its true colours. In your case brown, as you've no doubt been shoved up your own asss in recent times.

That's right! I'm pretty sure Dalai is the only chocky member certified in troll rating.......he's pretty stiff with the grading too, I've never scored higher than T2

The sad bit is that Dave grading his own troll is a continued troll, because he thinks he's really subtle and clever........the thing to keep in mind is this; just because you're trolling, it doesn't mean that you're not also a fukwit!

Yeah, I could take davidn's opinions on climbing a lot more seriously if I hadn't met him for the first time on a Canberra Climber's Association beginner w/e............getting guided around grade 14's at Booroomba by Brendan.

I've never really understood the idea of saying something plausible yet untrue, then acting all clever cause people got taken in. How is that smart or funny? Did you really stack and trash your ankle, or is it another genius troll? Because fabricating that story would be equally as witty as all the other stuff you come up with............as funny as a turd in a swimming pool!

Actually, say it was your poo, and say an ex's pool, then it might be very entertaining?

I don't like poo in water! Two kids in a bathtub with poo makes me sad.

It sounds like you've been jerking off a little too much over your own posts and may have sprayed some in your eyes.....have a look back, you didn't comment til page 13, it's now only page 16, something tells me you're taking credit where credit isn't due.

Either way trolls generally make other people look stupid. not the troller. It's not our fault we're all so nice on here, trying to help the retarded dog realise it's not ok to eat ones own shitt.
