so whats the status on the locusts? do i still need to put mesh over the front of my car? heading over on the 27th ?

Definitely. Attach it at the bottom then close the bonnet over the top, that way you can just shake them out and put it back in place.

Just got back from Araps - my car is absolutely covered in them. Like you cant really tell my car is blue from the bonnet. I didnt have a net...my bad :s

Just got back from 2 days at araps, yes there are heaps of them about, walking to the base of climbs is quite entertaining with the swarms of them you disturb. However they are only a problem when driving the car (stop and clean your windscreen every now and then, and use some mesh as already suggested.)
No problems when climbing.
