It is right!
This is the real one, and I was temporarily caught out by the addition of a '.' (dot) on the user-ID.

I live in Collingwood (Melb). Last night I kicked a locust out of my bed. Funny thing was, I didnt have any doors or windows open. Maybe it came down the chimney?

collingwood should be safe, DPI is helping all the farms and open public land generating locusts within the melbourne ring road...

the locusts were fine. to eat that is, not fine to be making walking across my yard painful. ok, so i got a leggy bit stuck in my teeth and spent a while inelegantly trying to remove it mid party, but eduardo's stir fry sauce was yummy. I was very disappointed with my house guests and partner that none of them braved the locust dish
the northern grampians are chockers with them - they made walking up to the crag today tedious as well.

I had one appear in the backyard in Richmond two weeks ago as I was pulling out broad beans. Evidently a yuppie locust rather than its bumpkin brethren, I took some photos and then chased it around the yard trying to catch it in a bottle.

Riding my bike has been really gross. Some times the road is totally covered in locusts and there's nothing to do other than ride through them. If you've ever seen the footage of Lance Armstrong et. al. riding through the millions of people on the Alp D'Huez time trile course then that's what its like, except the human seem to get out of the way and not try and hitch a ride

Pretty sure it wasn't, given it looks just like the the one on the DPI/VNPA website and was at least as long as my middle finger.

i think on average (bread eating) humans ingest 3kg of locust mush a year. seems you may have allready been privvy to a bit of tasty hopper.

the crusty critters still havn't made it down to the coast yet so I'm safe so far, the "leggy bit stuck in my teeth" nearly made me choke on my beer. Would eduardo share his locust recipes and has anyone else got one I can try?
