Vaseline is a barrier lotion it only stops moisture getting out. Urea is good as it brings up moisture from the dermis but often too strong to be used daily. good every week with a normal one daily for most people. x

What are the consequences of using it too much, as I'm using urederm more than once a week?

I'd say nothing at first but once your hands get to a normal balance then you just decrease the frequency -this may never happen and you might have to use it everyday forever - just depends on you skin and various other factors. but generally after an intesive use -you don't need to use it so often - which is good as it's generally more expensive than other creams. x

Definentley at the least wash off the chalk at the end of the day/session to help the moisture process. I too praise the Climb-on Bar for its skin growing capacity. Have a tough day bouldering with pink tips, climb-on bar that night and the next day, skin seems to have grown back and it'sall good again.

urea based creams generally don't smell too bad.

Climb on bar is pretty good. Cuticle butter or any intensive moisturiser works well though a butter or waxy cream rather than a lotion is good too for intensive x

last time i checked, urea creams were made from synthetic urea, not urine.
But hey, times change, companies have to tighten their belts etc etc
What is climb on bar? Not an energy bar like I first thought? :P

I use the body shop's hemp hand creme, and it seems to make a difference.. It kinda helps repair the skin, and I don't find my skin flakes when I use it.
