LOL - and back to the topic! I don't find climbing with guys a problem AT ALL :)
I am at the moment a very average climber but don't worry about the bumbling or making an ass out of myself as I am climbing for me. The fact that there are some great guys to check out is certainly a bonus though :)

I dunno. I have been known to use the word pretty frequently. I think it might be from watching too much Baseketball, but. (Truely a classic movie)
Again going back to the original topic, by 'male dominated' do people mean that there is just a mismatch in numbers or that males actually dominate the sport to the detriment of females? I'm just curious coz most climbers I know don't really seem to make the distinction. You're a climber and that's all that really matters. I've heard the same comment raised about skydiving too and again, I'm not sure why coz the attitudes are the same. Have I missed something?

Why does anyone take H-T seriously? His/her posts are just bullshit. I fell into the trap of responding and I got really angry and had people censuring me.
Let me tell you, Hex-Troll is a scam. The problem is that people are spending a lot of time reacting to her/his posts.
Anyhow, I'm going for a follow-up MRI for my throat tomorrow. I'm not expecting bad news but you never know. I don't think Hex-Troll would venture an opinion on that one.
Love to all
Kieran

BJ2--- It all comes down to good old 'OSSIE' battle-of-the sexes--- nothing more , nothing less .
'Have [you] missed something ? ' --- If you have , then it's lurking somewhere in the great ' OZZIE' myth that everyone is equal in this country ... Chew on that, DUDE

Kieran, people only make you angry if you let them. Personally s/he (HEX) amuses me greatly, and stirs up some interesting discussion. I don't know you personally, but I hope all goes well for you.

Based on all the music quotes and knowledge of Australian climbing, I am beginning to wonder if Hex isn't your alter ego Michael!!

Hmmm, interesting!!
HEX is certainly well connected in computer terms .. he/she posts just about any time of day or night. They certianly have a job and home life which enables easy online access.
Their on-line personality must come through to a certian extent in real life ... or am I judging the book by the cover too much again?
Cheers!!

I'm with Wonderdog here. I was beginning to think that I was the only who looked forward to logging onto Chockstone to see what the Hexmeister (coincidently, that was the name of one of Roland Pauligk's pet birds) had posted. The responses to his posts remind me of a flock of mainly miopic buzzards circling around a carcass. Some get the meat but most miss out because they just don't see it. Maybe the carcasses should be thrown into the cauldron to make a restorative broth that can then be used to build up our failing vision.

I am quite happy to be a part of the security blanket for Hex that the Chokstone Forum hopefully provides, which is obviously lacking in other parts of his life. I can just picture him running back into his bedroom, expectantly logging on in the anticipation of someone replying to his posts, safe in the knowledge that his identity hasn't been revealed., happy that he doesn't have to leave the house anymore, cheerful about the adevnt of the internet and waiting for the day he can show his schooltime tormenters that he has become someone.
