A place for Bomber Pro (Muki Woods) and Hipster (Adrian Laing) to bitch about Nmonteih (Neil monteith).
In the interest of keeping others threads civil and on topic please post here if you want to complain.
Thanks!

I like it...
Man, I'm sure Muki and I aren't the only ones who log onto chockstone and get sick of reading your opinion on every fricken subject. It takes away from the site, sorry. Often your comments are harsh and very opinionated.
Crux collapses, then I open Rock and there you are again, reporting on Blue Mountains news. Your voice just has to be heard doesn't it. So do you really know what's going on in the Blue Mountains? It looked like your news, not what was actually happening. Again, it detracted from the mag.

There are heaps of opinionated people on this forum. There are heaps of opinionated people on most forums. That's the way they are.

Some people on Chockstone give me the shits but I still believe their opinion is valid. I'm sure I give some people the shits but my opionion is still valid.

Hipster, I think that saying someone's opinion "detracts" from the site is a bit hard-arsed and judgemental. Be an opinion nazi if you want to but it makes you look like a bit of a tosser.

And I remember an issue of Rock not long ago, in which the Blue Mountains news seemed to be all about you. Do you recall that? Adoland? eh? eh?

It sounds personal to me. And you sound like like you are having a big whinge.

Sorry.

I don't really have any complaints about Neil so I won't be contributing much to this thread.

Q:Do you know what is the best thing about UK Mags?

A: No Neil Monteith.

I actually thought Aido was taking the piss. Maybe not? Is there really some awesome simmering resentment bubbling along up there?

Q. How many nmonteith's does it take to change a lightbulb?
A. None - he's too busy grid bolting obscure choss piles then writing all the routes up as 3 star classics! ;-)

hmmmmmm... ...that could apply to virtually anyone putting up new routes these days...

My kebab last night gave me the shits. It's still valid. Sometimes things that give you the shits are actually really awesome, it can open a new perspective. Like will garlic and hommus be really good? Yes they are but they can still clash...
Not that anyones a kebab though, but I can definitely see some parallels

I would like to put forward a motion to rename this website NmonteithWorld. It seems apt to me. Sheesh, a little bit of criticism goes your way, so you get all sensitive and start a thread on yourself so the Chockstone hordes can back you up. This is great stuff. A visionary thread.

This thread is getting pretty harsh.....
If you don't like Neil i suggest the ignore function, or maybe just post/do something that he
can find reason to ban you for....

In a forum full of opinionated bastards (myself included!) throwing their views around willynilly on topics they may or may not know much about, I don't remember Neil being abusive or rude. I can however think of plenty of occasions when other people have responded to disagreements with personal attacks, put downs, narky language etc etc. The other thing that I find annoying that is common around here is repeating the same thing ad infinitum as if we read it often enough, we'd suddenly agree with it. It's a bit like repeating and shouting exactly the same thing at non native english speakers in the hope they'll suddenly understand you. Don't remember Neil doing that either. On top of that, I think Neil's been way less vocal around here since he moved to Sydney anyway! This is a space for expressing opinions. As long as people are doing so in a reasonable and respectful manner, I reckon they should do it as much as they want.

They generally go together so well, that garlic is often one of the ingredients!

I don’t always agree with his sentiment, but I do appreciate his contribution.

Nah.
Just being a 'Factoid' (thanks otmab ☺), to keep my alleged rep intact with wallwombat; ... in who's eyes I seem to have overshadowed the contribution of other Factoids!

Wendy you are like SUCH a thread-jacker!!.. Neil wants you to bag him, not cuddle up to him.

Hey BooBoo this is the official slag Monty thread, so if your not slinging shit then go start your own
"I like licking montys bum thread" or something even more constructive like the official slag Sabu thread.
