I saw the whole thing and have come to the conclustion that it was just a gay bashing, I say more people should pick up mallets and stand for what the belive in.

I'm sure that if you had training in the area then you'd know better than to make some of
the comments you've made on this thread.

No, but a lot of posts on chockstone are nothing more than friendly and some no so
friendly banter. Outright abuse and insinuations about a climber committing suicide due
to a proposed mental condition is far beyond what i believe the users of this forum find
acceptable.

Well in my experience at the rate you're going i'm sure a mod will find offense soon if
not already, then you won't have a choice.

Did the reward of $80 for a new route there (at that time), come good?

Ok so now you are the thought police. I find a 21 year old talking like my 70 year old father quite odd
but i just put in down to diversity.

Well have you considered that i am the only one reaching out to this guy. He might need help

Yeah, he may need help, but more likely what he needs is for patronising twats like yourself to stop trying to diagnose him from in front of your computer...

Having read all this shite I have concluded three things.

1) Nothing very exciting happened at Araps.

2) A lot of people have too much time on their hands and take things way too seriously.

3) Someone whose user name indicates a love of cum baths gives free mental health advice which has absolutely no value.

#1 has always been true (Blueys FTW!), #2 is self evident, so I conclude that you're subtly suggesting that #3 is correct?

all this shit about CJ and whether or not he has a mental illness is irrelevant. the real issue is that 2 climbers from NSW, after having had a verbal altercation with said team tassie and co, returned with mallets and proceeded without warning to hit two people in the head. one was hit square from behind, while the other received a blow not far above his eye. regardless of the appropriateness of their noise (which I personally have no issue with) grug and john a lucky they weren't killed. both required visits to horsham hospital after the scuffle that ensued. Why are you not bitching and moaning about these C@%TS who have maliciously attacked two defenseless (one had a guitar so i guess he had a chance right?) people, furthermore fellow climbers? Get real, get over your whinging about people playing guitar or getting drunk, and contemplate the fact that these guys were attacked and lucky to not have more serious injuries.

Note. - I was not there. However have spoken with several people who were involved and independent witnesses. The police report no doubt has the same info, including the rego plate of the fleeing skum.

Feet, I'm glad I read that a second time. I thought it may have been a tip on how to look like a real climber, may have made a fool of myself next time.

To be honest this was the info we were probably waiting for as no one had yet been able
to give an account of what happened.

Hmm.
There are usually at least four versions of alleged incidents.
The victim, the offender, the witness, and the one/s who changed their mind*#*!

>appropriateness of their noise (which I personally have no issue with)
& later ...
>>Note. - I was not there.

The noise might have been an issue if you were there?

>grug and john a lucky they weren't killed.

In the dinky di aussie tradition of giving someone a fair go; ... could it be possible they were professional thugs and knew how to beat someone to within an inch of their life, ie if they wanted to kill them they would have used their calloused feet hardened from years of driving tent pegs, instead of mallets?
Then again they might have simply been using the Araps as a training ground for the hard parking conditions that ODH tells us about at Thomson's Point ?
;-P

>both required visits to horsham hospital after the scuffle

There you go bukkakedojo. You can rest easy now, because they have had appropriate help!
;-)

Naah. Surely not!

Sabu wrote;

Some may have but I wasn't waiting. Things like this attract too many ghouls/rubbernecks. Especially wasn't waiting after reading crazyjohns account, as I figured if he did not consider the incident warranting a lengthy tirade but rather dealt with by way of a humorous rendition, then it probably wasn't the incident it seems it was alleged to be by the media.
There are others who posted to this thread who were there and they also did not see fit to comment extensively. Maybe they were not outraged by the incident like Bam Bam seems to be?

Deep breath, relax, steps off the fruit crate, ... ~> and hands it to the next whinger to use!
