Why is Chocky getting so narky lately??

Hey Mulchy, who did I threaten to punch in the head? I don't remember that?

Was it ODZ? Might have been that Idratherbejambing guy. He used to shit me to tears.

I imagine I was pissed at the time.

It couldn't have been you, as you are too tall. I'd have to stand in aiders to punch you in the head.

Anyway, it sounds like a hollow threat.

And I don't mind your tricked out Gay Gay as long as you keep your brake hand on the rope. That's the scary bit, not bomber's modification.

And finally, to the mods - Fair enough. Point taken.

Does this sound like a ODZ description? Methinks:

The scene of one of the biggest dummy spits in Australian climbing history (not the photo above, another one). Cruelly stolen from ODZ by a roving Garth in his youthful prime. In a fit of vengeance ODZ promptly chipped off the vital holds, removed the bolts and covered the rest of the holds with sunscreen!

Sounds like a very naughty boy!! :-)

I'd just like to say, that this conjecture in no way implicates any particular party for any previous implications. Anything proposed is purely in my humble opinion only (and partly to blame on cheap red goon...)

Hey, I've got standards. Anyway, I've got a r@@ted tooth at the moment and anything above room temp is painful. Not that warm white goon has ever stopped certain dirtbaggers I know who frequent The Pines...

But you either need to mix white goon with orange juice or have it chilled. Either way its not very convenient when alls you have is water and goon back at base camp. It just doesnt work!

Red goon, on the other hand, is meant to be drunk at room temperature and hence its very convenient for getting drunk on those balmy Arapiles nights.

Note: technically red goon is not meant to be drunk at all because of its propensity to taste like utter crap, but this is the least bad way to have it

This is Australia. We have some of the best quality cheap red wine in the world.

Our goon is good.

And a rough red can be very drinkable, whereas a rough white is like paint stripper

In my experience all goon is bad...no, I take that back, all goon is teeeeerrible. Its just the degree's of terribleness, chilled white goon is drinkable same as red goon if you have a good reason to drink it...ie to get wasted!!

What is MLS up to these days? I only know his name from the granite guide, and it's in there a lot, against some really hard stuff. Also, it quite freaked me out to see Mike Law in 2 different guides, from about the same era. I thought initially that Mikl was playing silly buggers and using a nom de plum in Canberra.

Definitely not. Doesn’t use his timbre, and he gets more mileage out of not being a poster.

Onto more important things...I haerd on the radio that apparently goon may soon disappear from the Australian market..since the advent of the wonder screw cap on wine bottles its market share has plummeted and many current manfacturers of said product reckon it wont last the decade...time to stock up me thinks.

At first I was shocked by this. Then I realised that I probably wont last the decade either and managed to calm down.

Anyway, I will believe it when I see it. And I will stock up, just in case

I recently became a bit of a fan of the 1 liter cask. Svelte styling, easy to pack and oh so tasty. mmm mm!

and to think i've only just discovered the value of wine in a box. yalumba shiraz in a box is a lot less than the bottles (forgotten the actual number) and is very drinkable

WW&S and me took 8 liters of DeBertolli's up to Balor Hut. It was good stuff.
