My God Andi, you're joking aren't you? Just to clarify, are you suggesting that because someone hurt someone else in the past, they have no right to suggest that everyone be nice to each other? Cast the first stone and all that eh?

Fair enough evanbb. Her heart is in the right place in this instance. I just have a great deal of empathy for my friend who was hurt and know just how he was affected by a really f****** up action. Say what you want about my comments, but I'm leaving it here.

I've given this a lot of thought. Why is Chocky getting so narky? Cause we're all getting old and grumpy just like my Dad. A damn good thing too!!!!!

once again mulchman you're pulling us into line just when its getting XXXXX (insert your preferred
adjective "narky" or "interesting").

And quite rightly so, I say old man. My theory, conjured up after much reflection over a glass of claret, is
that its getting XXXX (ditto as above) cos we're all arseholes.

I find it pretty staggering to be comparing comments on Chockstone to what happens in a relationship. There are two sides to every story. You are suggesting that Wendy wronged someone in the past, but is that even true? Maybe there is another side to the story, or maybe Wendy did make a mistake but apologised or tried to make amends later.

Everyone makes mistakes in life. I reckon your post is a mistake.

I second simey on this. If were an issue leave it to a PM cos you serve none of us by
making those comments, not to mention the effects on those it was directed to.

I third Simey's sentiments...Jason, I'm sure who ever your friend is he's old enough to handle his own matters. And in better form.

militant would have been fine by me, all in the cut and thrust of debate, i took offense at the use of nazi. that people generally don't even register the significantly higher offensiveness of the latter is troubling - in many an environment the use of the nazi associative in a derogatory phrase could get you killed. i was amazed it's deployment didn't kill the feminist thread (one of the year's best), to her great credit wendy displayed tremendous poise and restraint in her response.

Did I make an error in judgement? Definately! Did I PM Wendy in regard to this matter? Yes, after she PMd me, and yes my comments should have been PMd directly to her and not been made publicly. I have apologized to Wendy and I do so here publicly. I let negative issues in my life affect my comments to her and I have learnt from that. Perhaps this is one answer to the question she posed in the first place. Once again Wendy, I apologise for being a dick.
