Well, I don't quite have Simey's charm ...

But seriously, I don't appreciate being called a feminazi. I haven't directed any personal abuse and it really isn't called for.

Just cos he turned you down doesn't mean you have to get all personal on a public forum.

Saw this on supertopo maybe climbing does equal dating :-)

Rating Opposite Sex in the climbing language (cred to MisterE)

(Excellent for discrete banter)

Traditional: The One you could se yourself getting old with, having a family, etc.
Sport: One night, one week, one month stand. Playin’ around, getting good.
Mixed: Not quite sure yet which way...

Grading:
Anything under 5.0 is too easy or unappealing.
5.1 through 5.6 generally requires aid (see below)
5.7: marginally attractive, amazing feature
5.8: homely
5.9: average looks
5.10: good looking
5.11: hot and good looking
5.12: turn-your-head WOW!
5.13: the one someone else always gets.
5.14: the 5.13 that climbs hard
5.15: The 5.14 that is wealthy, a virgin contortionist and massage therapist.

Aid: Alcohol, whatever, that makes it go better. A1 is a beer, A6 is blotto.
Aid Fall: Whiskeydick
First Free Ascent: Without aid.

R: There’s definitely some psycho elements
X: They may get you into serious sh#t.
Eurogrades: Foreign chicks, guys

Bolt Chopper: c--k-blocker

Discrete Tension: Cheating behind the spouse’s back

Onsight: That moment where you make it happen with the perfect one.

Direct Variation: Anal Sex
Chipping/Glueing: Homoeroticism

Alpine: Blue Balls, weeks of wooing/spending for a peck on the cheek.

Clean Ascent: Condomless

Bouldering: Making Out, coppin’ feels

Grade 1: A quickie
...
...
Grade 6: Tantric Sex: Cobra In The Red Cave, etc

Extensions: Children

Link-ups: 2pitch = twosome, 3pitch = 3some, etc

Free solo: masturbation

Gym Climbing: toys for sex

Toproping: teasing

Campusing: Coppin’ feels

Flappers, Gobis: VD

First Ascent: Virgin

Seconding The Pitch: Sloppy seconds

Classics: Older Men, Women

Finger Crack to Offwidth: A reference to the fairer sex, mono being smallest...

Slab Climbing: Flat-chested
Jug Haul: Well endowed

Lead Fall: Getting dumped
Pulled Gear: Belongings thrown out on the lawn

Backing Off a Lead: Deciding it’s not worth it (psycho, wrong sex).

Spraying about climbs well above your climbing level: Impotence

Mmm.
How about climbers dearie? Oh thats right, this is the Chockstone Forum and it does pretty well for itself in that respect.

Actually I thank you too for eliciting further response from Ms Wendy, as her initial reply did not contain half the meat that the later ones did.

Is that a No way? or a No maybe? or a No definitly maybe?

You are such an enigma eduardo. Publicly rejecting Hero and myself you are clearly not after wit, intelligence nor devilishly handsome good looks.

what is that piece of magic you are after Eduardo? Personal hygene? Private health insurance? albelity to spel?

Another new topic...

Everyone's done this at least once in their life... the catch up with an ex flame, bumping into a one night stand or texting a 'good friend' to just say hello. Well everyone knows this doesn't lead to good things.

lately the weather's been pretty cold and miserable. Great weather to snuggle up to a nice warm body if you have one....And if you haven't then this is when people start reconnecting with those past experiences.

Well, I've just gone and done just that. I've got myself into a pickle where I've been hanging out with an old flame (not a big flame but there was a spark). Well, one thing leads to another... we're having fun, chatting and seeming getting along. To the point of wondering what ever was it that stopped us from going further last time. The lights are dark and now we're in the throws of 'accidentily' touching and edging closer to talk.... Nothing has happened but damn I'm finding it hard to concentrate on work.

Who else has similar experiences? Should I just get it out of my system? Or please myself? Or just go climbing?... to um, relieve the pressure, if you know what I mean?

Please help this tortured soul.

suggestions:

1. trying to do work in the dark while flirting is not productive. get out of the stationary cupboard, go back to your desk and do some work.
2. shag the guy. somewhere else.
3. go climbing

(i hope you weren't actually looking for a constructive response here ;))

Sex and Climbing don't go together. You just can't get an equilibrium between the two.

...
Don't date a climber.
