You obviously haven't hung out in the Pines for a few days with WW&S, though I did think his pile of discarded beer cans outside his tent were more 'installation art' than trash...

Wow, the things you learn, and here I was thinking it was some kind of southern pastry with a spicy filling...

Capt mulch could do the decent thing and go back and edit the over the line post.

If he doesn't feel like doing that, then I suggest that the mods could delete it.

Wow! This forum has definitely gone southbound!

Thanks for the suggestions on giving the hypothetical guy the big hypothetical hint.... I've been rehearsing this speech...

"you're a nice guy. But you know... we've crossed that friendship line and now there's no going back."

I decided to cut out the..." I think of you as an asexual being, totally unattractive."

So, can anyone tell, I'm totally lost when it comes to boys... repel the ones I want and attract those boys that I don't want!!

OK, heading Northbound now!!! I would put this on the 'Stoked' thread, but it only cost me 90 cents to get drunk this arvo ( 3 x Coopers longneck homebrews ) - how's that for dirtbagin' !!!

I got some northbound road trip happening for you, though I am a bit worried about your issues. I'm just unemployed and drunk!! Tomorrow, I should be sober and maybe employed (sorry Winston)...

Ahh the pines, such a haven and initiator for trash talk and all things lowbrow... such as
the g string we found in the male toilets that now does the rounds in various peoples
birthday presents and mail.....

Just drop a line about a possessive boyfriend who's in the army and likes underground
bare knuckle fighting, that should do the trick!

Aaah, sorry, that was mine (trying to save all weight possible while attempting Tiptoe Ridge). I had to discard it after 10 days of dirtbagging and bogging in the composting loos as it just got way too grotty. If someone could send it back to me (C/O CCA, Parliament House, ACT) it would be appreciated...

On second thoughts, maybe he can keep it. Too many nasty hazy drunken memories when wearing it at the disco at Horsham (drinking too many Fluffy Ducks and doing the chicken dance)...

well just to play devil's advocate, are you sure that he's got the wrong idea? sometimes guys are just
being friendly.. of course i don't know either of you but i've seen girls that just assume everyone is
hitting on them because they are cute / hot etc. nothing like being brushed off when you weren't
hitting on them in the first place ;)

well i thought i'd take the opportunity to make it even more confusing for you. lol ;) well the basic rule
is that if you're interested in someone it makes them less interested in you and vice versa, its a sad
state of affairs ;)

I have climbed with lots of women. I find their company pleasing. On the other hand, a girl i used to climb with me once asked me "why haven't you tried to pick me up ever, everyone else has.." I think she thought i was gay. Even though she was really attractive i wasn't interested.

You also have to realise that in general climbers are really boring and have no social skills.

Haven't you heard of 'practice'??? Sort of like bouldering...

yeah but bouldering makes you really powerful but does nothing for your endurance. i find doing a combination of lots of long easy routes and some short powerful ones is best for good all round performance.

I like long easy routes. Happy endings are guarenteed.

I did like Sandy Bay the other week though - hard and pumpy with a dyno at the finish. BTW - today, like Mr Churchill, I am sober, but yet I am still unemployed. Will belay for food...

you have to realise that guys are just human beings too, they aren't scary or brain sucking zombies.. just put yourself in his shoes and see how you would like to be told that there is no chance. If you were smitten by someone and they turned around and said "i find you totally unattractive" you would be crushed... hence go with something more simple and less harsh, like, "i really like you as just a friend, but that's all its ever going to be". or you could just ignore him until he goes away... that always works, but its downright cruel.

you're doing it wrong!
