... think you will find it was Costello who said that!

[For those who like light humour here is a link.]

Would be interested in first hand opinion / feedback to this thread, if you, .. sorry, … your friend!, does something there after having had doggie experience for comparison ...

Oh dear... looks like the festivities will have to be called off.

What a shame.

Does anyone know when I should make sure my popcorn is warm for HB's ascent this weekend?

there is a bit of mystery around it isn't there? I'm preparing a naked rope jump just in case nothing else gets off the ground.

A quick wrap up....

It was massive! A big turn out from NSW and Nati. Team Acca, Macca and Zac, repeat Shai-Halud with Macca totally committing to the horrendous chossy roof pitch. Terrifying to watch as huge block came raining down. Mr Ben Cossey gets the onsight/flash of Serpentine in a two marathon on Sunday. Malcolm and Steve perform to cheering crowds below with photographers and banners a plenty. Gilgmesh is close to a first ascent by either a Cossey or a Zaccy. Mike Law and Simey entertained with old and bold tales from the past at dinner. Lots of photos coming soon - stay tuned!

Was there any more action on Spurt Wall Upper on sunday?

Im not sure if I would have liked to have seen Macca push the boat out any further....but I'd like to
read about it on chockstone.

Hats off to Macca (and Zac) for saturday's effort. I think I was more scared watching that than I was
when I did the first ascent. As someone said ... "it was like watching a car crash ... in extreme slow
motion." I believe there was video footage taken of Macca's ascent....Hopefully that makes its way to
the internet soon.

And there really ought to have been a prize awarded for the best moustache of the day.

Obviously this is open to discussion but I would have said

1st Neil
2nd Ado
3rd Malcolm

Looking at the photos I now realize why Macca wasn't placing any cams in those roof pockets - he didn't have any on his rack!! All he had was a bunch of old school hexes. Bloody hell - I'm even more impressed now.

Neil's muzz was the clear winner in the facial hair stakes but Ado won the swimsuit section; his frequent and increasingly more outrageous costume changes were both historically-correct and aesthetically quite wrong.

Lovely photos Mr NMonteith.
Derek my ip-lost M10 love and I enjoyed them immensely.
All those sequence shots! Rather like being at the movies!
Bit of a shame attending the site did not seem as popular, what with the small crowd of onlookers and all, but I can see why summer in Victoria kept them away, as there was nearly as much black puffy being worn as at the Blueys on a cold day.

Also good to see the luminaries enjoying themselves at the party before (wine bottle on breakfast table), and afterwards. Mr Macciza looks as though he kept the cold at bay with tokes! And that lovely Mr Simey, - well, what can a girl say! And Mr Mikl, you simply must tell me where you scored that lovely lady-beetle hat, it's gorgeous!
Though I am not a big fancier of moustaches generally, how handsome do some of those lads look! I am sure Mr HB must be envious of some efforts to emulate his style!! And it was good to see that such an important occasion was passed on across the generations with that gorgeous bub Milly in the arms of Mr WM.
