I lost my job today.

More precisely, I failed to get my job today.

I have been working as a contractor for the last 14 months. The company decided to offer the position full-time , rather than as a contract position. I applied and didn't get it. It went to another guy who has been also working as a contractor but only for the last 6 months.

Apparently, he performed better at the interview. That was the only reason I was given.

So now I have 2 weeks relief work and then I'm off to Centerlink.

F#CK!!!!

Gutted? This should be in the the stoked thread!

Congratulations on scoring a slot on the elite Team Rudd climbing squad.

I wish someone would pay me to climb.

Cheers,
Sol

Gutted that I live somewhere where a secret super crag is a mossy pile of chossy sandstone with 5 routes on it... ...double gutted that I actually think of it as a super crag! :-(

Sydney sets completely the wrong expectation of what most urban climbing is like...

You could start an online guide called "Moss, Choss and Sandstone" .

With only 5 routes it wont take long.

im gutted, my brand new rope is hanging from the Hicks Dampier couloir after getting stuck on the final abseil! nothing would free it, even a 5:1 haul system and climbing back up wasnt an option!!!

It least it was the final abseil, not the second-last (though by definition when the rope is irretrievably hung-up it is the final abseil)

I have just finished the whole GUTTING senario , kill ,dress ,gutt .chill, cut up and dispose of waste . Now Kelvin has stopped chewing grass and converting it into methane and is residing in the kelvinator . From there he will gradually move to the dinner plate . Amazing how once the deed is done, the family come home to restock their freezers. T bones for tea tonight then STOKE the fire and relax
