No charge in Geelong for belaying. If you smile nice you 'might' get a biner (borrow) for free too.lol Sorry Kezza if we have to charge for a harness.

o.k.

Right then; went there the other night; had a fine evening climbing, routes are nice and long, some
weave around a little and are often very enjoyable, although there were a few 'one move wonders'.
Nearly everything you could top rope, so leading not all that necessary. Pity there was no big roof
climbs, but the walls are very positioned, with good angles to make some interesting climbing. If you
don't have a lead tag, they said that they might be running 'lead testings' every Tuesday and Thursday
nights (from next week), although don't quote me on that.

If you're hungry after a climb, then take a stroll (couple hundred metres) down Elizabeth St to the
"Gold an Roti" - an awesome and cheap Indian 'lounge' place that's open late. That's all I really wanted
to say. Definitely worth checking out!

Well, I thought it odd to suggest an alternate place to climb indoors in ANOTHER state...not really a practical thinker he is.

wyt91t: dont stress, i wont be coming to your climbing gym anytime soon, not with people like you working there.

Also, note the banner up the top "Chockstone, climbing in Victoria".

is there any bike storage there, is it relatively safe? how does it compare to lactic factory?

Someone had their bike locked to the bottom of the stairs which seemed ok, would be a bit crowded if there were 5 bikes.

Since this is an indoor gym, I assume that comment was tongue in cheek?

Hey. I did the two cracks and the pockets. I'm thinking the cracks go at 17 and 18 so some beginners can do some jaming... the pockets are more like 19.

Gym climbing is a sport? I thought it was meant to be training / fitness etc ...

If it is to promote interest in the sport of outdoor climbing then (although it may be possible), they would be better off outdoors imo; as too much of the outdoor experience can only be found there, ... not to mention adventure !
