Cruze...
Interesting that you mentioned this. A friend of mine recently informed me that this was the way that they set in parts of the UK. As you mentioned, it replicates outdoor climbing better, but unfortunately they found the world cup bouldering tough as they wern't used to the big movements (of tracking style setting)... I find the lactic factory often has a few excellent routes with many little footers.

I set a fair amount boulder probs at SICG and always go for s.o.s footers and/or just the wall features for sit starts and as extras to the problems themselves. Even on easier probs outside, you often don't get whacking great footers to start with and its so much better for body tension (especially on steep walls) to keep the footers small but make sure theres a few options.

He was breaking it almost in a bodybuilding style then and having steep arm days, followed by less steep finger days. Never really trashing the same the muscle groups to death every day.

And not doing the competitive dieting thing anymore, trying to live on 1000 cals a day (or famously just trying to live on Broccoli - or something like that!)

Chockstone Tuesday Quiz - Padlocks

Kent's question first...

1.Who was it that famously padlocked there fridge ?

2. Who padlocked pot's and pans to their project? Name cliff, route and padlocker.

And for a bonus three points - Australian quiz questions

3. Which cliff had a truck tire padlocked with chain?
4. Which route was this on?
5. Name the 'thief'? (Hint: neighbour route stolen which started the tire hanging saga was crudely named after the theft by the padlocker and cohorts)

Sorry - back to pullups...

Nowra is correct, but wrong cliff Steve...

>4. Which route was this on?

Still up for grabs.

Hint answered correct by KP. Probably best kept to this answer so changed the question...

7. What name did this Nowra posse called themselves?
