Are you old enough....

Having just turned 30 I'm unlikely to climb my age again (unless I knock off work and go live in the Grampians for a year). Seriously though, I haven't climbed my age since I was 23 and I'm not that phased. I love climbing and don't see myself giving up for a long time yet.

I'm 27, and still bumbling around high teens, early twenties (haven't done much climbing last six months or so tho). I'm cool with that, it's all about having fun!

39 this year and still motivated enough to be aiming for grade increases each year. This year was to be 28 but injury has put a damper on that.
Too stupid to take a couple of months off for a proper recovery, just like climbing too much.
Need my weekly fix or I get irritable.

Am Plenty9 pushing 65 (looking forward to retirement so I can do more climbing!).
This Chrissy hols am doing a celebratory b'day thingy, of a roped-solo (Nth wall aid climb) at Buffalo, ... just to prove to myself that I am not quite over the hill yet.
I intend to take my time to savour the moment/s ... ponder the meaning of it all, etc.

43 - glad to know I am not the oldest one here, although in climbing experience is priceless and old climbers will always have my respect for their knowledge!

I was hoping to be the 53rd post here but near enuff is goodenuff. I think I lead the pack at 53. This of course means that the best climbers in the world can climb my age in reverse (35). It also means that lots of teenagers can not do this, the reverse of 13 being 31 is possible and currently 14 year-olds will have to wait a while until the first grade 41. But what of the sub-teens I hear you ask, twelve year-olds climbing 21, eleven year-olds climbing 11 are both likely (especially the latter). But what of the ten -year-olds?

From High Mountain magazine (249) comes the following:
Slimline on sight
The Frankenjura sport route, Slimline (recently downgraded from 8a+ to 8a), has seen an on sight ascent from Adam Ondra. No big deal in today's currency you may think, but this whippersnapper from the Czech Republic is just 10 years old.

I think I'll get the tartan rug for the lap, make a nice pot of tea, get some teddy bear bikkies, find a nice quiet spot in the sun and contemplate the fact that the I older I get, the better I used to be.

it's getting quiet here so I'm going back over the past. I know these ages are all 2 years old now.

I put my age in my profile as 32 because it's my approximate biological age. Chronologically I'm a bit older but if you've read any Deepak Chopra you might agree with him that chronological age is irrelevant. Many people think I'm between 7 and 15 years younger (I wouldn't go that far though). Ok maybe I'm very immature but there's a substance/supplement you can take each day and it makes you look and feel at least 10 years younger by the time you're in your mid/late 30s. If i meet someone who looks way younger I check if they use the supplement and they usually say "yes, every day".

A third you say Mike, I think I can do that, as I'm only 41. I refuse to be a grown up, having to much fun being a kid still.

I got a crook batch and it worked in reverse! ... heh, heh, heh.

I give my dog supplements to combat the arthritis ... Seems to have stabilised at about 80% effective ...
