This post is not a desperate (even silly!) attempt at getting myname in a random name draw...I mean , what are the chances of winning?!! I'll do the maths later and get back to you on that one.
This post IS however an announcement that I am going to submit a piece of prose for consideration and as such I would advise all other entrants to immediately withdraw their pieces...
Personally I feel this whole 'competition' is a waste of time. I mean, I'm OBVIOUSLY going to win so why all the trouble Neil??

(disclaimer*actually its a great idea, good work!*)

A coffee table book featuring the best climbing locations in the world!

mmmmm gimme gimme.

Im thinking it will be about 80 pages:

15 pages for Yosemite;
12 pages for Ceuse;
18 pages for Araplies / Grampians;
5 pages for 'the grit'

10 pages for other odds and sods, and

20 pages for the You Yangs!
5:27:20 PM
More lurvly piccies to help me off my fat, 'post uni exams' butt and get back up the Blueys!

5:27:27 PM
enter me in the draw please......

5:50:21 PM
This is my entry in accordance with option no. 1. Entry under option no. 2 coming up if I can think of something. Does it have to be less than 200 words??? bummer lol

Shamelessly stealing from a famous letter:

I am a dynamic figure, often seen scaling walls and crushing ice.

I have been known to remodel train stations on my lunch breaks, making them more efficient in the area of heat retention.

I translate ethnic slurs for Cuban refugees, I write award-winning operas and I manage time efficiently.

Occasionally, I tread water for three days in a row.

I woo women with my sensuous and godlike trombone playing, I can pilot bicycles up severe inclines with unflagging speed and I cook Thirty-Minute Brownies in twenty minutes.

I am an expert in stucco, a veteran in love, and an outlaw in Peru.

The laws of physics do not apply to me. I balance, I weave, I dodge, I frolic, and my bills are all paid. On weekends, to let off steam, I participate in full-contact origami.

But now I have torn my tendon pulleys. And I cannot climb rock.

Why everyone should quit climbing and take up Underwater Hockey.

1. Underwater Hockey IS real (its not made up at all, look it up).

2. Underwater Hockey is played by equal numbers of men and women, while most of the time climbing is a sausage fest.

3. I am quite good at it, so I will be able to thoroughly kick all of your arses.

4. Ask Micheal Hutchence from INXS (and his girlfriend) about holding your breath.

5. There are no offwidths in Underwater Hockey.

6. It is entirely acceptable in Underwater Hockey to kick someone in the head (if you have the puck).

7. It really is a real sport.

8. Pool entry is cheaper than climbing gym entry.

On knees bowing to the almighty photography god.I am a mere mortal in this world of climbing. As for you Simon are the taker of inspirational photos that allow us mortals to dream climbing.Your posters and calenders hang from my walls, giving me the inspiration to want to climb whenever possible.All that is needed now is a book to let me dream a never ending climbing experience.Words cannot replace your photos.
To Simon...The photography God.
