If it is not up to standard, then you could always contact the 'highest replicas with authentic holograms, tags etc' mob who posted the other day* for a gucci upmarket take on it !

(*funny thread for the short time it lasted).

After another user logged in and added more of the same fine reproduction products (after the phone ad also over the weekend) the original funny thread was removed as it appeared that the posters were scanning forums where others had advertised similar products.

Rock Weasel - new gym will be good! Can't say when or what though - sorry.

With a quick search on the web I found some info (from a real estate agent site) about apartments for sale off the plan that boasted "these apartments will offer the tallest indoor rock climbing centre in the southern hemisphere", but they were due for completion in 2007... The devopment is on Franklin St in the city. Is this what you are asking about? Sorry that isn't very helpful info, but at least it has a date...

In relation to that thread I managed to get hold of a Pierre Cardin Climbing rope a fantastic product everyone should consider purchasing. It looks stunning but there is no core of strength but that's the cool bit cos dying is so the thing to do this summer!

Naah! Soloing slabs wearing a sumo suit (helmet recommended) is going to be where it's at - more so in
the colder months. If at first you don't send, just roll or bounce down & start again.

Watch the silk Bocci climbing scarf though, I heard its colours run in the rain; ~ not good if you are attempting Hard Rain at Buffalo instead of one of the slabs.

12 months ago I was told that Hard Rock were going to have another gym in the city, it was the outer corner of a new building with 2 standard and 2 glass walls visible from the streets, the highest indoor wall in Oz, saw pics at the time but haven't heard any more! My thought at the time was it could be a major traffic hazard!

It is proposed to be contained within the "Verve 501" development on the corner of Swantston and Franklin Sts

yeah it is happening and is gonna be awesome. Should be opening within a year, mainly depending on the construction of the building it is going to be in. Aparently it will be 20+ metres high

BTW, my comment on it being a traffic hazard wasn't derogatory. I was thinking of the drivers gawking at a climber doing a heel hook 20 metres up, may be as much action in the street as on the wall!
:o)

Mmmm. Originally the devloper told said it would all be finihed in 2005, then 2006, then mid 2007.......Give it at least a year before the gym is open.

If you wander down there you can see where the gym walls are going to be...

Sounds like an 'authentic reproduction'!
Maybe (in the meantime) partaking more in the new fashion of outdoor climbing will satisfy the fix?
:P

sounds great even after the gym is open!! as for the construction add another year to the already predicted timeframe and then maybe you'll be close to the finish date :P!!

Whoa give me a break :)

Nah i dont know a whole lot but i guess the main time delays are as a result of not having a building to put the gym in! once the site is ready i dont think it is gonna take that long to have the gym open and running.

Im also pretty sure that memberships will work between nunawading and the city gym so you get twice the gym for the one membership...
