Wish I could be there and get to meet you all. Suppose I have to rough it in Railey though. God I hate that place! See you next time though.

Checking out the early morning wildlife Neil? Maybe you can catch a koala (are you allowed to eat 'em?) with your velcro goat gloves...

How do velcro gloves go with tree climbing?
How does a Eucalypt rate for difficulty??

Depends if they are the short and heinously thin sapling pumpfests, or the rambling mulitpitch gums. Oh, by the way, stay right away from that stringy bark choss! lol

back to the top of the page!
just wondering what people were planning to do climbing wise on Saturday.....ie, easy climbing tour, bouldering, projects. If i was to bring my crashmat, are there anyone else who was planning on some bouldering action.

Bring it all! - think of it as a 'climbing expo' . We can all compare stuff -and i can walk away with a shiny new trad rack hopefully! -anyone want to climb with me? ;-)
If anyone has any big cams (and i mean size 5+) could they bring them along. I would love to try thrashing up some bad offwidths in the area with some body armour on!
Jee Morgan and I plan to get up there bright and early and 'set-up' a lot of the climbs with some amusing things. Maybe some tyrolean ropes ect... If anyone wants to join us arrive around 8am.

On a lighter note - i will be running a precision footwork and static technique climbing workshop on the Saturday. This will be invaluable training for the bouldering comp the following day.

I'm planning on attending the Gathering. I'd like to be there fairly early in the morning (maybe 8 or 9?), bringing rack, rope, bolt plates, etc., with a view to doing some leads before lunch. I currently have room in my car for 2 extra passengers, plus a midget with really short legs (there's never much room behind the driver's seat!). I live in the North Melbourne area. If anyone needs a lift, drop me an email.
