hoping someone can help...i wanna organise a trip for my boyfriend & me for his birthday, we've both climed at the mill in collingwood a fair bit, but we're not pros or anything. can anyone help with where to go (thinking of somewhere round grampians area?) and if there are any organised climbs you can go with or if we'd be ok by ourselves (he has gear, i don't).
cheers!

Dodgy,
I wouldn't muck around. Go to a well known, established and reputable climbing guiding company. It will cost you a bit but will be worth it.
Here are links to two such companies who operate at Mt Arapiles and the Grampians - excellent climbing areas and spectacular scenery, not too far from Melbourne
The Climbing Company:

Arapiles Mountain Guides:

Log on to the websites and take it from there, perhaps give them a call with your query.

If you guys don't have much experience and only climb indoors, then definately hit one of the guiding companies. You'll learn heaps and have a great safe time as well.

Try the VCC...

The VCC isn't really suited for total beginners... best use a proper guiding company.
