You now can get a yearly number for accessing the boom gates at the Point...
Forms available from the rangers station takes about 1 minute to fill it out and about 2 weeks before it's sent to you.
It doesn't allow you in when its closed but it's a start to quicker climbing...
Also it has been open regularly on weekdays so a simple call can get you that information. .

Sorry, do you mean a subscription like a Nat Parks pass?
How does it work with camping? Still gotta check in at the office I assume?

Pretty much like a parks pass...
You get a number that basically works the boom gate for a year..
You will have to check in re camping I guess but only once for the time your there...
The only downside I can see is you can still get stuck behind a line of traffic getting day passes

Thanks for the update!
It is great that access continues to slowly improve to this fantastic climbing area.
I hope it is not too off topic for me to remind everyone that it is really important that keep good relations with the public and the people managing this particular area. It would be easy and convenient (although not right) for people to find excuses to close access here, and it is quite a public area, so we can be under some scrutiny.
