The Hot Aches guys wrote a bit about an upcoming movie called Wide Boyz:

Sounds like it could be interesting.
Here's their blog: http://wideboyz.blogspot.com/
Can't think of how to tie this one in, but someone will likely mention it: http://www.widefetish.com/

Really, the blog is pretty funny, even without my predilection for the subject matter. Did you catch this vid?

They were asked to route set for some bouldering comp and through this in.

Sadly, the nati exchange has been running stupidly slowly all week, and it's taking me about 5 hours to try and see the photos.
The blog isn't as amusing this week, but at least it loads ... http://wideboyz.blogspot.com/ ... These guys are crushers - i'm in awe. I also hurt just thinking about it.

Have you reset your line-splitter? I had to disconnect mine for a bit a couple of nights ago. Got back to normal ADSl speeds after that.

line splitter? you mean just unplug the double thingy at the phone outlet where the phone and router come out of? Sorry for the technical jargon ....
OK, success ... something resembling bearable speed achieved.
Those photos are glorious. I could be inspired to build a fat crack in the bouldering shed after I finish with the thin one. Especially if it will give me abs like theirs. In reality, they are far more dedicated to training than I ever will be.
"The tally of pain and dedication currently stands at 17,510ft of hand-fist stacking, more than 250,000 core conditioning movements, 42,300 pull-ups and bicep curls and 15hrs 45 mins of dish holds."
I've got a way to go.

Good. I don't understand the electronics but it's often necessary to disconnect the line-splitter after there's been a problem. Didn't we have some thunder a few days back? That might have been the cause of the problems. Then again it might be just the crappy old adsl. Nati is supposed to be in line for ADSL2 but don't know when.

From memory, the connection speed only renegotiates when the NTU (modem) syncs with the exchange. If there was some shitty weather or some other issue when it last synced the speed could have negotiated lower than usual. Disconnecting and reconnecting it forces it to resync with the exchange.

These guys are sending hard; I'm highly impressed. Attacking routes like that day after day can be soul destroying. I've got a few projects at Buffalo that would be right up their alley...
