According to your profile you only climb gym and boulder, if this is still the case then it might be a good idea to wait a while and get some more outdoor climbing experience before you consider bolting.

Many of the guide books are "selected climbs" so it is possible that your secret cliff may have allready been found but not published.

It would probably be a better idea to learn bolting off someone who is experienced rather than trying to figure it out yourself.
