Indoor climbing will eventually leave a convex spot in the centre of the front part of your boot from moving over/off large juggy holds, this won't make any difference at all to outdoor routes, however if you're not precise with your footwork you'll end up wearing out the front of your boots too (by scraping the toe up the wall instead of lifting and placing) which will have severe consequences on the life of your boots and their edging capabilities on thin routes (i.e. super rounded edges don't hold well on dime edges etc).
If doing a lot of indoor climbing I would most definately buy a 2nd pair. |
