Clipping to more than one anchor is dubious at best. It was disigned to be used at rap stations so that you can clip in to the anchor, then set up your rapel (absael) on the first or second loop, extending it away from you harness on a full strength runner to allow room for a backup on the brake hand side of the rapel. Pulling up tight to check the set up, unclipping and going. A very clean set up and is fast and safe.

As for storage on your harness; instead of wraping it around you, or gathering them all up and clipping them to a gear loop. You could just drop it down between your legs and pull it up in back and clip it out of the way. Then when you need it just reach back, unclip, let it swing foreward and grab it in front and clip to the anchor. Voala'
