I've only had one bit of gear pop on me - hopeless placement, upside down(!) flaring piece of yuck I managed to get a yellow alien into for purely psychological pro at the crux. I didn't think it would hold a fall. It didn't. The fall was held by the bomber red stopper placement three metres down. I hit the ledge below. Ow.

The funny thing was, the next go, I fell again - and it held! With two lobes making contact... I went out and bought two more aliens that week.
