I had a ramset 24v SDS ect, (a re-labled bosch) it was second hand when i bought it and now it has gone to its third rock destroying owner!

DONT BUY THE CHEAP RUBISH. They break, have crappy life, and its harder to get good quality non SDS bits. They also have cheap chargers that F--K your batts real quick, and they just dont work real good!

In the construction industry the main players are BOSCH # 1 because its a bit cheaper and they market it well, Hilti # 2 A better but often heavier and more expensive drill. These two I have seen far more of than any other brand.

If you don't want to fork out the cash for a drill with lithium batts I would strongly recomend one of the above brands for the simple fact you can easily get replacement (official or generic) batts in large Ah ratings. (the batery doctor) Or you can make a simple 24v batery pack with a lead and two gell cell 12v bats, you can get about 10 7Ah bats for the price of a 3Ah NiCad generic bosch bat.
