Nylon slings do actually have a bit of stretch in them (although it's nothing compared to that massive energy absorbing dynamic rope that should be in your system). Dyneema slings have very limited stretch in comparison.

I would also like to point out that if you are using a daisy chain that you should be aware of how to clip it and shorten it correctly. If you are simply using 1 carabiner to clip the end of the daisy and then clip a shorter loop into that carabiner, you are in danger of not being connected to the anchor at all (unless you add a twist into the setup).

I personally use 2 carabiners on my daisy chain, one on the end loop and one on the shorter loop. I clip the end loop into the anchor and I clip the shorter loop's carabiner into the end loop's carabiner (I hope that made sense).
