I have a pair of these :-) They look a bit like glorified rigger's gloves, with compression straps on the back of the hand, and adjustable cuffs, which I wear tight under my jacket sleeves so that water doesn't run into them. I've only used them twice so far -- for skiing. They're really comfortable and offer good tactile sense. As they are leather they are not "waterproof", and tend to let in a bit of moisture when it rains, so your fingertips can get a bit cold. I treated them with SnoSeal and this made them a bit more water resistant. They're well padded, which should make them good for ice climbing. I certainly didn't split any knuckles telemarking! Would be interested to hear from anyone who's used them for ice climbing...
