I'm looking at getting an alti/baro for an upcoming NZ trip. I could always just borrow the work one without anyone finding out, but figure it's the kind of thing that would be handy to own for future trips also so why not look into buying one. I haven't done too much research yet - so any info would be good. I have a NZ wilderness mag with a review of 5 of them, a casio, 2 suunto's and 2 polars. Are there any other good brands out there? Is a GPS combined with altimeter/barometer a good idea? Are the high range watches actually got anything on top of the cheaper models? Still gives a reading, right?
