um...being brought up as a trad climber I always learnt to belay and abseil left and right handed...i always thought - and still do - that you should be able to do both equally well. some belay situations work better left handed, some right handed, so why all the fuss about a left or right-handed belay device - kind of like shopping for a left handed coffee mug...guess if you're still looking for one, try mo's leftorium
