Yeah aztar leashes suck the fat one. The original plastic anti snow plates on sarkens were solid enough but balled up a bit too easily so they replaced them with traditional rubber ones that they sent out for free (yes free! no postage or anything) when you email them with your name and address. The crampons are VERY light and stay attached very well. I've got the funny heel in first with no clip (I think its called spirlock or something) and toe strap system and I've not had a crampon fall off ever and they are pretty easy to put on with no clutter around the back of the boot.
