Mantas are fine for easy summer mountaineering. You can get by with them on a bit of steep stuff and frontpointing but they are a bit flexible. Hence I would be hesitant to to use front wire bails on them. I have in the past and was a bit concerned. If you do buy some with front wire bails try them on your boots first before buying. I would buy crampons with front straps to use on Mantas. I have never had any problems with them loosening.
