In resposne to GFDONC asking for recommendations on PLBs to be posted in this thread (pretty sure he was meaning PLB, not EPIRB)

I have a RescueME PLB1 that I bought a couple years ago, as it is very small and very light (116g). Part of this seems to be that it only floats when inside an included neoprene pouch. Since I don't really care about it floating, I ditch the pouch and have a very small and light PLB.

There are various small differences in features, but the standard should cover the main features, so for me simply having a PLB that I am willing to take seems the biggest feature.

Haven't activated it... I don't carry it rock climbing generally, but I can see some situations it could make sense. For bush walking etc, I carry it most of the time (it is so small, why not).
