Cheers Jamie, I'm aware of this issue with wiregates; I only use them on the rope end of draws if I'm clipping bolts. (Which is why I mentioned trad use in the question) I've got a mixture of WC, HB and BD wiregates. I'm interested in the Kong Helium cos they're very light. (31gms) I don't intend to use them for clipping bolts.
