Not sure how you can attest to it but I agree that they are definitely not equal. Reading the dictionary sounds like something an intellectually gifted child would do. Your average kid isn't normally interested in doing things like that. Intellectually gifted people often have trouble with reading, writing and basic maths because they're too busy thinking about where they were before they were born and what the hell they are doing here on earth (even at the age of 5). It's one of the tragedies of our education system. Those who perform well in the classroom are thought to be the so called 'gifted' and others with exceptionally high problem solving, abstract thinking and general knowledge will often be hiding in the classroom (usually daydreaming) and end up dropping out (as Einstein did) due to boredom. I do think though that it would be difficult for a person with a low IQ to learn literacy skills unless they had a particular strength or interest in that area.

An international organisation made up of clubs all around the world where you learn to improve your public speaking. You work through manuals and do speeches and other speaking and leadership bits. Different clubs do it differently but at mine we have a 'word of the week'.

Was this the leg-warmer era of the early 1980s? when everyone went round like the girl in 'Flashdance' as if they were trying to get into a dance academy????? So what precipitated the climbing fashion change? Why no more tights?
