You filled the pocket behind the panel with powdered chalk and when you wanted to chalk up in a hurry you just slapped your palm on the panel. Instant chalk. I seem to remember reading a review in a US magazine that ran along the lines of 'how come no-one ever thought of this before. Pretty positive review. They also had a photo of someone mid-crux on a boulder problem slapping his thigh and letting loose a huge cloud of chalk to drift off downwind. I don't think they ever really caught on. tim
