My two cents:

- Climbing routes is easier with coloured holds than tape, because you can't always see the tape when you're above a foot-hold.
- Bouldering routes are easier with tape, because the routes are easier to pick from a distance and see potential sequences; the non-vertical nature of the routes means you don't have the first problem. The holds are further apart with bouldering problems and there's lots of other holds in between, making it harder to see the sequence than on roped routes - I rarely boulder in the gym here cos I can never work out where one route starts and where it ends, so I get bored and grab a rope.
- Maybe that's why I'm crap at climbing. Who cares, it's summer soon!
