Omega-Pacific runs there manufacturing processes in-line with the American government programs and pay rate policies. The prsioners are 'employed' by Omega-Pacific to manufacture their products, therefore reducing the overheads, and the savings get passed onto the consumer. The quality control is still done by the normal processes and staff though. In return, the prisoners develop manufacturing skills, and lead a normal 9 to 5 life while they are incarcerated.

My message I suppose is: you can't stop the government putting people away who really don't deserve to, but you can help the one that are there already aquire some skills and work ethic for when they get out.

My 2c, (and now I have to go buy some and not sound like a hypocrit)
